Sequence of engine assembly during major repairs (Opel Vectra B)

The engine assembly must be performed in the following order:

• crankshaft;
• pistons and connecting rods;
• timing chains and sprockets on a 2.0L diesel engine;
• oil pump;
• oil pan;
• flywheel;
• cylinder head;
• timing Belt Tensioner and Pulleys (all models except 2.0L diesel engine);
• intake and exhaust manifolds;
• hanging units.
