Engine trim panel — removal and installation (Opel Zafira A)

The trim panel must be removed to perform most engine maintenance and repair work.

Sequence of execution

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Using a TORX T30 key, unscrew the two screws securing the decorative trim.

Engine 1.4; 1,6 DOHC

Engine 1.8 DOHC

3. Open the oil filler cap (see "Checking the levels of technical fluids").

4. Remove the cover from the engine.

Engine 1.4; 1,6 DOHC

Engine 1.8 DOHC

Recommendation: Before performing further maintenance, install the oil filler cap. This will prevent accidental entry of dirt and small parts into the engine.

5. Install the decorative trim in reverse order.
