Removal and installation the interior sill trim panel (Opel Vectra C)

1. Open the front and rear doors on the corresponding side and remove the door opening seal (see Section 41).

2. On SIGNUM models, remove the luggage compartment side trim (see Section 46).

3. Remove the rear seat (see Section 50).

4. On Station Wagon models, remove the rear seat cushion (see Section 50) and remove the mounting loops from the bottom.

5. Using a plastic wedge, separate the sill trim from the B-pillar trim (see accompanying illustration).

Note: The wedge should be inserted from the side.

6. Using a plastic wedge, press the trim clips one by one in the sequence shown in Illustration 42.5 (from 1 to 7) and detach it from the door sills. Be careful not to damage the trim guides!

7. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Before installation, check the condition of the clamps and the correctness of their mating with the threshold trim, replace if necessary.

Note: Check the wiring - wires running along the doorway should not be pinched! Make sure that the inner edge of the seal is on top of the trim.
