2. Working from the other end of the camshaft housing, remove the 2 hex cap screws securing the camshaft lock plate.
3. Remove the locking plate.
4. Pull out the camshaft first from the side of its crankcase that is closer to the distributor and remove it, being careful not to damage the camshaft bearings.

5. Before installing the camshaft, lubricate the bearings.

6. Install the camshaft locking plate along with the screws securing it and check the axial movement of the camshaft. If it exceeds the specified value, the locking plate must be replaced.
7. Replace the oil seal in its holder (see photo).

8. Holding the camshaft, tighten the bolt of its sprocket to the required torque.
