2. Working from the other end of the camshaft housing, remove the 2 Allen head screws securing the camshaft lock plate.
3. Remove the locking plate.
4. First pull out the camshaft from the side of its housing that is closer to the distributor and remove it, being careful not to damage the camshaft bearings.

5. Before installing the camshaft, lubricate the bearings.

6. Install the camshaft lock plate together with the fixing screws and check the axial movement of the camshaft. If it exceeds the specified value, the lock plate should be replaced.
7. Replace the seal in its holder (see photo).

8. Holding the camshaft, tighten the bolt of its sprocket to the required torque.
