Flywheel — removal and installation (Opel Ascona C)

1. Remove the clutch (see chapter 5).

2. Although the flywheel bolt holes are offset so that the flywheel can only be installed the correct way, installation of the flywheel will be easier if you mark the position of the flywheel relative to the crankshaft flange before removing it.

3. Remove the clutch release bearing and guide sleeve (see chapter 5).

4. Lock the flywheel ring gear and unscrew the flywheel mounting bolts.

5. Remove the flywheel.

6. Install the flywheel in reverse order. Apply a small amount of thread locking compound to the bolts.
