Maintenance work
- Change the oil only when the engine is warm! Therefore, warm up the engine by driving a car.
- If possible, raise the car horizontally (back up!) or drive it up the ramp.
- Place a suitable container under the crankcase (see photo below).
- Unscrew the drain plug with a wrench, drain the oil. Be careful, it's hot!
- If you raised the car only from the front, then in order to drain the used oil completely, you need to lower it again. Take care not to damage or tip over the collecting container.
- Place a container under the oil filter.
- Unscrew the oil filter using the strap wrench shown on the next page. If the filter is firmly seated, poke a sharp screwdriver through the metal housing (be careful, hot oil comes out) and unscrew the filter with a screwdriver.
- Lightly coat the o-ring on the new oil filter with grease.
- Do not use engine oil, which may be mistaken for a leak when visually inspected at the end of work.
- Screw on the filter by hand without any tools.
The right equipment for an amateur oil change:
1 - funnel for pouring used oil;
2 - engine oil of sufficient volume;
3 - oiler;
4 - canister for used oil;
5 - oil canister with a cut-out side wall for drained oil;
6 - oil filter;
7 - tension strap wrench for unscrewing the oil filter.
At the deepest point of the crankcase is a drain plug. Unscrew the screw plug not with an open-end wrench, but with an overhead or socket wrench and a lever.
- Wipe the drain plug and screw in with a new O-ring; do not screw too hard, otherwise the guide thread in the oil pan may be damaged.
- Fill with oil.
- Start the engine, check the oil tightness.

How much oil will be used depends on whether the oil filter is replaced. There are the following volumes:
