Removal



Disconnect the connector from the engine air temperature sensor located on the air intake tube (1).

Disconnect the connector from the engine air temperature sensor located on the air intake tube (1).


Disconnect the resonator hose from the air intake tube (1).

Remove the air intake tube (1) and the air filter housing cover (2) as an assembly.

Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector from the wiring harness located on the right side of the engine.

Release the crankshaft position sensor wire from the clamps.

Raise the vehicle and support it on supports.

Remove the lower engine compartment protection.

Loosen the bolt and remove the crankshaft position sensor (3) from the cylinder block.

Loosen the bolt and remove the crankshaft position sensor (3) from the cylinder block.


Installation



Install the crankshaft position sensor (3) with a new seal on the cylinder block and secure with a bolt, tightening it to a torque of 8 Nm.

Install the lower engine compartment protection and lower the vehicle.

Warning: Do not route the crankshaft position sensor wires until it has been removed from underneath the power steering pump.


Route the crankshaft position sensor wire correctly and secure it with clamps.

Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector to the wiring harness.

Install the air intake tube (1) and air filter housing cover (2) as an assembly (see the relevant chapter). Tighten the air intake pipe bracket mounting nut to 16 N·m.

Connect the resonator hose to the air intake tube (1).

Connect the connector to the engine air temperature sensor located on the air intake tube.

Removal



Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Disconnect the propeller shaft from the front axle.

Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector from the wiring harness.

Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor from the cylinder block.

Installation



Install the crankshaft position sensor on the cylinder block and secure it with the bolt, tightening it to a torque of 10 Nm.

Connect the propeller shaft to the front axle and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 63 Nm.
