Warning: Before servicing fuel system components, relieve fuel system pressure. Disconnect the connector from the fuel pump. Start the engine and wait until it stops due to the fuel lines and fuel rail running out. To finally reduce the pressure in the fuel system, turn the engine crankshaft with the starter for 5 seconds.

Removal

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Remove the engine cover.

Remove the solenoid valve from the intake manifold (see the relevant chapter).

Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel rail. Before disconnecting, mark the fuel lines and after disconnecting, seal them with suitable plugs to prevent contamination from entering the fuel system.

Remove 4 bolts and remove the fuel rail assembly with fuel injectors and vacuum tube.

Remove 4 bolts and remove the fuel rail assembly with fuel injectors and vacuum tube.

Installation

Install the fuel rail assembly with fuel injectors and vacuum pipe and secure with 4 bolts, tightening them to a torque of 25 N·m.

Install the intake manifold solenoid valve (see the relevant chapter).

Install the engine cover.

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
