Location of parking brake components
Removal
Loosen the rear wheel mounting nuts. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on stands.
Loosen the nuts and remove the rear wheel.
Release the parking brake lever.
Remove the bolts and remove the caliper (4) from the rear wheel hub support.

Note: Without disconnecting the brake hose, use soft wire to secure the caliper to the rear suspension, being careful not to stretch or twist the brake hose.
Remove the brake drum (5), the brake shoe retaining spring holders (3), disconnect the upper return springs (1) and the lower return spring from the brake shoes, then remove the brake shoes.
Disconnect the rear brake caliper from the parking brake release lever (arrow).

Remove the brake pads from the rear brake boot.
Installation
Note: Ensure correct positioning of the release lever return spring (2) by installing it on the outer side (1) of the return spring support.

Connect the parking brake cable to the brake shoe release lever.
Install the brake pads (3).

Install the lower return spring (6).
Install the upper return springs (1).
Install the spring holders (3) to secure the brake shoes.
Apply special lubricant to the areas of the rear brake boot and parking brake components shown in the illustration, being careful not to allow lubricant to come into contact with the working surfaces of the brake shoes.

Install the brake drum.
Install the caliper assembly.
Install the wheel and secure with nuts, tightening them to a torque of 118 Nm.
