Removal



Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Disconnect the vacuum hose (3) from the brake booster (5).

Remove the brake master cylinder (see the relevant chapter).

Remove the cotter pin, pull out the pin (1) and disconnect the brake booster push rod fork from the brake pedal.

Loosen the nuts (2) and remove the brake booster (5) from the engine compartment bulkhead.

Installation



Adjust the position of the brake booster pushrod (see the relevant chapter).

Install the brake booster (5) on the engine compartment bulkhead and secure with nuts, tightening them to a torque of 15 Nm.

Install the brake booster push rod fork onto the brake pedal and secure with the pin and cotter pin (1).

Install the vacuum hose (3) with the arrow on the hose pointing towards the engine.

Install the brake master cylinder (see the relevant chapter).

Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
