Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster.
Remove the brake master cylinder (see the relevant chapter).
Using a small screwdriver, remove the retainer from the brake booster.

Remove the plate and sealing ring from the brake booster.
Connect the MKM-667 vacuum pump to the brake booster and install the KM-J-39216-A tool to measure the tappet protrusion from the brake booster.

Using a vacuum pump, create a vacuum of 0.667 bar (9.7 psi) in the brake booster and measure the protrusion of the tappet from the housing.

Pusher protrusion from the brake booster housing: L = 0±0.1 mm
If the protrusion of the pushrod from the brake booster housing is not as required, adjust it by turning the adjusting nut with a T-handle wrench, while using the special tool KM-J-39241 to prevent the pushrod from turning.

Remove the MKM-667 vacuum pump and install the KM-J-39216-A tool to measure the tappet protrusion from the brake booster.
Install the O-ring and plate onto the brake booster.
Install the retainer onto the brake booster.
Install the brake master cylinder (see the relevant chapter).
Connect the vacuum hose to the brake booster.
