Removing
Parts can be replaced without removing the steering column. However, it is necessary to drill holes in the steering lock mounting bolts in order to remove them with other bolts with a left-hand thread.
1. Remove the steering wheel as described above.
2. Turn away bolts of fastening and remove a facing casing of a steering column.
3. Disconnect the switch from the steering column and disconnect the plug connection.
4. Remove the retaining ring at the top of the steering column and remove the insert.
5. Insert the ignition key into the lock and turn it to the "OFF". The steering lock cannot be released if it is locked.
6. Disconnect the plug connection of the ignition switch.
7. Point the heads of the shear bolts with a center punch and drill holes in them with a drill.
8. Cut the left thread and screw in the removal bolts.
9. Turn out bolts and remove the lock with bearing knot.
Installation
The steering lock and steering column bearing are installed as follows:
1. Reinstall the steering wheel lock and bearing assembly, and tighten the shear bolts until the lock is secured.
2. Install the starter switch and check the operation of the lock and switch.
3. Tighten the bolts as shown so that the heads shear off.
4. Finally, connect the cable plug and install the circlip and insert.
5. Fasten the combination switch and dock its plug connection. If there is an airbag, make sure that the contact node is in the center.
6. Fix a facing casing of a steering column.
7. Install the steering wheel according to the car model.
