Cars produced since 1995 are equipped with an airbag, the use of which requires certain knowledge.

Removal
1. Remove the cover with the horn button in the center of the steering wheel.
2. Mark the relative positions of the steering wheel hub and steering shaft with paint so that they can be installed in their original positions during assembly.
3. Loosen the steering wheel mounting nut and remove the lock washer. To do this, you need to hold the steering wheel by the hub.

4. Remove the steering wheel with a puller. There are two holes in the steering wheel hub into which the puller screws are screwed as shown.
5. The horn contact ring on the back of the steering wheel can be replaced.
Installation
The steering wheel is installed in the reverse order of removal. The wheel hub must be aligned with the marking on the steering shaft applied during removal. The steering wheel mounting nut is tightened to a torque of 35 Nm.

Removal
Attention! It is recommended that the removal of the steering wheel in the presence of an airbag be performed in a car repair shop. Removal
1. Remove the airbag as described below.

2. If there is no airbag, remove the cover in the center of the steering wheel. To do this, unscrew the bolt shown by the arrow.
3. Mark the relative position of the hub and steering shaft and unscrew the mounting nut. While doing this, hold the steering wheel by the hub.
4. Disconnect the plug connection of the cable harness.
Installation
The steering wheel is installed in the reverse order of removal. If an airbag is installed, the following safety precautions must be observed. The steering wheel mounting nut is tightened to a torque of 35 Nm. In this case, the wheel must be held by the spoke to prevent it from turning. Don't forget to match the plug connection. Finally, check that the steering wheel is positioned correctly and that the horn is working.
