- Auto Soft Switch Mode (position «D» J;
- Automatic step switching mode;
- Manual mode.
The control methods of this AT are almost identical to those described above for AT with the Active Select system. This Section only discusses the differences in the CVTronic system.
Note: When the ATF temperature is below -25'C, move the selector lever from the position «R» or «N» does not seem possible.
A feature of this AT is that when the lever is moved to the left from the position «D» shifting continues to be automatic, but electronically mimics the way the previous generation AT shifts with certain steps - automatic step shifting. In the display field of the selected transmission mode, the indicator will light up «A» (see Section 16). Gears can be shifted manually by briefly pressing the lever from the position of automatic step shifting to the side «+» to switch to a higher or «-» to downshift. Manual control of the AT is described in Section 23.
Note: Top speed is achieved in 5th gear, 6th gear is for economical driving.
Emergency operation mode, emergency disengagement of the selector lever lock and driving techniques with AT are described in Section 23.
The AT with CVTronic supports all of the electronic automatic control features described for the AT with Active Select. In addition, at high temperatures, ATF is activated engine rev limiter function to prevent AT failure.
