Note: Lubricants and fluids recommended for use by the vehicle manufacturer at the time of writing this manual are listed below. If the Manual does not contain information about the type of oil or fluid for specific units, or you need to get more recent information, contact Opel official dealers for advice.

Fuel
Warning! The use of leaded gasoline and the abuse of fuel additives can lead to exhaust gas catalytic converter failure, non-compliance with emission requirements and engine damage. On diesel models, never use additives for winter operation, which increase the fluidity of the fuel. If these requirements are not met in the event of an engine failure, the manufacturer's warranty obligations do not apply to this vehicle!
The engines of the Opel model range are designed for grades of fuel that meet the requirements of European standards EN).
Type
Gasoline engines - Unleaded gasoline AI-95, AI-98 (Standard EN 228: S - super, SP - super plus).
Note: In the absence of unleaded fuel grade «super» 91 octane fuel can be used, avoiding high engine loads and full vehicle loads, as well as driving in the mountains with a trailer or with a high load - this reduces engine power and torque. Knock regulator depending on the type of fuel filled (its octane number) automatically adjusts the ignition system.
Note: Engines adjusted at the factory to run on gasoline with an octane rating of AI95 can also be operated on gasoline AI-98 without restrictions, however, this will not lead to an improvement in the economy or performance of the vehicle.
Diesel engines - Diesel fuel with a cetane rating of at least 49 (EN 590 standard)
Note: When using winter grades of diesel fuel, this value may be lower.
Due to the design features of diesel engines equipped with a «Common Rail», high demands are placed on the quality of the fuel used. You must use fuel that fully complies with the EN 590 standard, otherwise, if the engine fails, this vehicle will not be covered by the warranty. The Russian Federation is one of the regions where a number of fuels offered do not comply with the EN 590 standard and special care is required when choosing a fuel.

Engine oil
Type
Gasoline engines - Oil Opel GM-LL-A-025 (OW-30)
Diesel engines - Oil Opel GM-LL-B-025 (5W-40).
Decryption:
- GM — General Motors
- LL — Long-Life
- A, B - engine oil quality specification
- 025 - motor oil classification action index, here MJ2002.5 - spring 2002
Oils with a higher index are allowed.
Note: In the period between oil changes, it is allowed to add no more than 1 liter of ACEAAS/B3 oil to the system, without shortening the interval between oil changes. If for any reason more than 1 liter of oil of the specified quality category has been charged into the system, the interval until the next oil change must be reduced. Viscosity

Cooling system
Coolant type
Only red must be used (dark orange), silicate-free antifreeze recommended by Opel - the number 19 40 650/09 194 431 must be indicated on the label.
Note: With prolonged use, the color of the antifreeze may change to yellow. This does not affect the properties of the coolant and you can continue to use it until the next scheduled maintenance.
Attention! In no case do not use green-blue antifreezes / antifreezes containing silicate in the cooling system!
Coolant Composition
Attention! Adding any additives to antifreeze (including to seal the system and eliminate small leaks) unacceptable!
The table shows the proportions of antifreeze concentrate and clean, lime-free drinking water for self-preparation of coolant from antifreeze concentrate:
Protection up to | Antifreeze | Water |
-30°C | 40% | 60% |
-40 "C | 50% | 50% |
Recommended year-round use of the mixture in a ratio of 1:1 - 50% water and 50% antifreeze.
