Petrol engines and diesel engines with a capacity of 1.7 liters
When repairing the cylinder head due to a leak between the valves and their seats, it is necessary to check the degree of wear of the valve guide bushings. This is especially important for engines with high mileage. Excessive wear in the valve guide bushings leads to a distortion of the valves in their seats and leads to increased oil consumption (leakage). If excessive wear is detected, it is necessary to either turn the bushings or replace them.

Measure the inner diameter of the guide bushings.

Ream the hole in the bushing to the next repair size. Reaming must be done from the top of the cylinder head so that the most accurate size is always in the valve seat area.
After deployment, it is necessary to knock off the old markings on the bushings and apply new ones.
Caution: If the guide bushings are turned, valves with a larger stem diameter must be installed.
