Petrol engines and diesel engines with a capacity of 1.7 liters
To check the clearance between the guide bushings and the valve stems, insert the valve into the guide bushing and press it first against one wall and then against the other. If the clearance is noticeable, its size must be measured using an indicator. If the clearance is outside the permissible limits, the hole in the guide bushing must be reamed and the valve replaced with another one of the repair size.
Permissible clearance in the valve sleeve:
- for intake valves: 0.018-0.052 mm;
- for exhaust valves: 0.038-0.072 mm.
Permissible radial runout of the valve stem in relation to the valve seat:
- for intake valves: 0.03 mm;
- for exhaust valves: 0.03 mm.
