Cleaning the oil separator of the camshaft housing cover (Opel Vectra A)

Gases from the crankcase ventilation system pass through the oil separator of the camshaft housing cover.

Removal

Loosen the camshaft housing cover mounting bolts and remove the cover.

Loosen the oil separator cover mounting bolts and remove the cover.

Remove the oil separator.

Wash the oil separator and adjacent surfaces in gasoline.

Installation

Insert the cleaned oil separator into the lid.

Insert and secure the oil separator cover.



Install a new gasket under the camshaft housing cover and tighten its mounting bolts evenly (see fig.D0941).
