
Check the cylinder head and cylinder block for straightness of the mating surfaces using a straightedge and feeler gauge. The deviation from straightness over the entire length of the surface should not exceed 0.04 mm; at a length of 150 mm - 0.015 mm.
On the cylinder head, straightness must be checked on two surfaces; from the cylinder block side and from the camshaft side.

Check the straightness of the cylinder head diagonally.
Attention! The presence of small cracks on the bridge between the intake and exhaust valves is not a reason to replace the cylinder head. If the head was ground, then the size B (see fig.A7853) should not be less than that indicated in the table.

If the cylinder head has been ground, check the piston protrusion.
Install the cylinder head.
