Bearing and clutch release fork of push type (Opel Frontera B)

Removal

Remove the gearbox (see the relevant chapter).

Remove the locking pin, remove the pivot pin, remove the clutch release fork from the bracket and the clutch release bearing from the guide sleeve.



Remove 3 bolts and clutch release fork bracket from front of crankcase.

Examination

Clean all removed parts.

Check all parts for damage and wear.

Installation

Lubricate the bearing guide bushing and the clutch release fork pivot points with general-purpose grease.



Lubricate the clutch release bearing in the locations shown in the illustration with general-purpose grease.





Install the clutch release fork bracket to the front of the crankcase and secure with 3 bolts, tightening them to 38 N·m

Install the bearing and release fork onto the bracket and secure with the pivot pin and new locking pin.

Install the gearbox.

Check the clutch operation.

Adjust the installation height and free travel of the clutch pedal.
