Press the sealing ring into place using the Opel KM-445 tool (for engines with a volume of 1.4, 1.6 and 1.7 l) or KM-518 (for engines with a capacity of 1.8 and 2.0 l). If the specified device is not available, a bushing of the appropriate diameter can be used.

Insert the O-ring (without lubrication) into the groove of the gearbox housing.

Install the pressure spring on the gearbox housing and tighten its mounting screws to a torque of 5 Nm.

Lubricate the sliding surface of the clutch release bearing guide sleeve with a thin layer of universal grease, for example Opel 1948524 (90001825).

Install the clutch release bearing with the clutch release fork and the clutch release lever and tighten the mounting bolts to 35 Nm. Install the clutch in place.
