Contents: Examination ⬇ Adjustment ⬇
Opel Vectra/Calibra cars do not have automatic clutch adjustment, so the clutch pedal free play must be adjusted manually. This must be done because as the friction linings wear, the clutch pedal rises and its free play increases.
Examination

Measure the distance from the top edge of the steering wheel to the middle of the clutch pedal (dimension A).
Attention! Do not press the pedal!
Write down the obtained value (see fig.).

Press the clutch pedal all the way down and measure the above distance again (see fig.). Record the obtained value (dimension B).
The difference between both values (B-A) should be 129-136 mm. If the result obtained is outside this range, make adjustments.
Adjustment
Remove the clamp from the cable end.
Adjust the pedal stroke.
Check the stroke and repeat the adjustment if necessary.
Install the clamp in place.
Attention! After adjustment, the clutch pedal should be slightly higher than the brake pedal. If the pedals are at the same level, this is incorrect and adjustment is necessary, otherwise there may be difficulties when disengaging the clutch.
