Replacing the clutch cable (Opel Vectra A)

Removal

Measure the length of the thread of the cable end to the clutch release lever and record the obtained value.



Release the clamp using a screwdriver.

Turn the clutch release lever and remove the cable.



Remove the release spring and cable from the clutch pedal.





Pull the cable out of the front panel of the body from the engine compartment side.

Installation

Route the clutch cable through the front body panel.

Secure the cable to the clutch pedal. Check that it is positioned correctly in the guides.

Install the tension spring in place.

Insert the clutch cable into the support and route it to the clutch release lever on the gearbox.

Attention! When replacing the cable, adjust the nut of its tip to the previous length of the protrusion of the threaded part.

Adjust the clutch.
