Checking and adjusting the clutch pedal (Opel Frontera B)

Disconnect the connector from the clutch pedal switch.

Loosen the lock nut and, by turning the push rod (2), adjust the height (H) of the clutch pedal, then tighten the lock nut to a torque of 17 N·m.



Clutch pedal installation height (H):

• right-hand drive vehicles: 178-188 mm
• left-hand drive vehicles: 216-266 mm

Loosen the lock nut and, by turning the limit switch (1) or the adjusting bolt in the bracket, adjust the free play (H2) of the clutch pedal, then tighten the lock nut.

Clutch pedal free play: 0.5-1.5 mm

Connect the connector to the clutch pedal switch.

Check the free play (FP) of the clutch pedal before the clutch is engaged. Apply the parking brake, start the engine, press the clutch pedal, engage 1st gear, slowly release the clutch pedal and make sure that the clutch engages after a free play of at least 30 mm.
