Remove the oil filler cap, the cap from the engine cooling system expansion tank, remove the engine oil level indicator and disconnect the air intake hose.
Install the adapter into the spark plug hole of the 1st cylinder.

Connect the pressure drop tester to a compressed air source.
Connect the pressure drop tester to the adapter connecting hose.
Using the pulley mounting bolt, turn the engine crankshaft in the direction of working rotation and set it to the TDC position of the piston of the first cylinder in the compression stroke, while making sure that the timing marks on the camshaft pulleys and the crankshaft pulley are aligned with the pointers.
Warning: Do not turn the crankshaft when checking the pressure reduction in each cylinder. To avoid this, engage 1st gear and apply the parking brake.
Apply compressed air to cylinder 1. Read the percentage of air pressure reduction in the engine cylinder on the tester scale, listening for any possible compressed air leaks from the intake manifold, exhaust manifold, crankcase and spark plug holes, and make sure there are no air bubbles in the expansion tank of the cooling system.
The reduction in maximum pressure of one cylinder should not exceed 25%.
The maximum permissible pressure difference between engine cylinders must not exceed 10%.
Check the seals in the remaining cylinders in the same manner. Set the piston of the cylinder being tested to TDC in the compression stroke.
Cylinder firing sequence: 1-2-3-4-5-6.
To set the piston of each cylinder at TDC on the compression stroke, make six marks on the camshaft pulley at equal distances around the circumference and use these marks as references.
Using the pulley mounting bolt, slowly turn the crankshaft by 120° in the direction of working rotation, which corresponds to turning the camshaft by 60°, until the mark on the pulley aligns with the pointer on the cylinder head.
Screw in the spark plugs and tighten them to 18 Nm
Install the oil filler cap, the engine coolant expansion tank cap, the engine oil level indicator and connect the air intake hose.
