Checking and adjusting valve timing (Opel Frontera B)

Remove the front timing belt cover (see the relevant chapter).

Align the camshaft pulley timing marks (arrows) with the pointers.



Make sure that the groove on the crankshaft pulley is aligned with the mark (arrows) on the oil pump housing.



If any mark on the camshaft pulley is not aligned with the pointer and/or the groove on the crankshaft pulley is not aligned with the mark on the oil pump housing, remove the timing belt and install it in the correct position (see the relevant chapter).

Install the front timing belt cover (see the relevant chapter).
