Radiator Fan Shroud for 2.2L Diesel Car (Opel Frontera B)

Removal



Remove the air intake hose and air intake duct.

Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.

Disconnect the connectors (1) from both fan motors and the temperature sensor.

Disconnect the connectors (1) from both fan motors and the temperature sensor.


Release the clamps securing the temperature sensor wires (3) to the fan frame.

Remove the 4 bolts (2) securing the radiator fan casing with electric motors to the radiator.

Remove the fan housing with electric motors.

Remove the retaining ring (1), then remove the fan from the motor.

Remove the retaining ring (1), then remove the fan from the motor.


Disconnect the connector (2) from the fan motor.

Disconnect the connector (2) from the fan motor.


Remove the bolts (3) and remove the fan motor.



Installation



Install the fan motor and secure with bolts.

Install the fan onto the motor and secure with the retaining ring.

Connect the connector to the fan motor.

Install the fan shroud with electric motors and secure with bolts, tightening them to a torque of 26 N·m.

Install the clamps securing the temperature sensor wires to the fan frame.

Connect the connectors to both fan motors and the temperature sensor.

Install the air intake hose and air intake duct.

Fill the engine cooling system with coolant, bleed the cooling system and check the cooling system for leaks (see the relevant chapter).
