1. Make sure the parking brake is applied.
2. Models with manual transmission - press the clutch pedal and set the gear shift lever to neutral position. Keep the clutch pedal depressed while starting the engine.
Models with automatic transmission - move the selector lever to position P or N and press the brake pedal.
3. Without pressing the accelerator pedal, turn the ignition key to the START position and hold it in this position until the engine starts (but not more than 10 seconds), then release the key.
4. In cold weather with air temperature below minus 18°C (0°F) or after the vehicle has not been used for several days, warm up the engine for 1-2 minutes without pressing the accelerator pedal. Regardless of whether the engine is cold or warm, it must be started without pressing the accelerator pedal.
Warning! If the engine stalls while driving on a vehicle with an automatic transmission and the vehicle continues to move, do not attempt to move the selector lever to the P (Park) position. If possible, depending on driving conditions, move the selector lever to the N (Neutral) position, then turn the ignition key to the START position and try to start the engine again.
