HIGH - increased gear (two wheels or four driving wheels); 4L - low gear (four wheel drive)
Switching from HIGH mode to 4L mode must be done with the vehicle stationary.
The transfer case control lever can only be in one of two positions, and there is no neutral position.
The transfer case control lever cannot be moved from the HIGH position to the 4L position when 2WD mode is selected.
