It is forbidden to start the engine with an emergency battery charger.
On vehicles with a catalytic converter or automatic transmission, it is prohibited to start the engine by towing.
Move the automatic transmission selector to position P, on models with a manual transmission, set the lever to neutral.
1. Connect the terminal of one of the cables to the positive pole of the auxiliary (launcher) batteries (1).
2. Connect the other terminal of the start cable to the positive pole of the discharged battery (2).
3. Connect the cable terminal to the negative pole of the booster battery (3).
4. Connect the other cable terminal to a well-stripped ground (4). For example, a bolt or bracket on the cylinder block of a starting engine (but not with the negative pole of a dead battery!).
5. Make sure the starter cables are far enough away from the fan, belts and other moving parts of the engine and cannot come into contact with them.
6. Start the engine with booster battery (the engine of the second car must be idling). Run the engine in idle mode for about 3 minutes and disconnect the cables in the exact reverse order.
