Auxiliary cable for engine starting
Place the auxiliary vehicle next to the Vectra so that the batteries are as close to each other as possible. But the vehicles should not touch.
Using the first wire, connect the positive terminals of both batteries.
Connect the other auxiliary wire for starting the engine first to the negative pole of a charged foreign battery, and then to the uninsulated ground (for example, directly to the engine) in the engine compartment of a de-energized vehicle.
Run the auxiliary vehicle engine at high speed to ensure that the generator produces a high voltage.
If the engine does not start immediately, let the starter cool down a little. Leave the auxiliary engine running, as a result of which the discharged battery will already be slightly charged.
When disconnecting the jumper cable, first remove the cables from the negative terminal of the charged foreign battery.
