Turn on the ignition, put in 2nd gear and depress the clutch pedal.
The towing vehicle must move slowly.
At approximately 15 km/h, slowly engage the clutch while placing your right hand on the handbrake.
If the engine starts, press the clutch pedal and give it gas.
Gently pull on the handbrake to avoid running into the car in front.
Give a horn to the driver of the towing vehicle.
Remove the gear, release the clutch pedal.
Brake gently using the handbrake along with the towing vehicle.
Tip: Vehicles with a catalytic converter are often cautioned against rolling, pushing, and towing. If the engine does not start due to a dead battery, this is not dangerous. The situation is different with a defect in the ignition system: in this case, unburned particles of the combustible mixture can be burned up and raise the temperature in the catalytic converter to a dangerous level.
