Connect the positive wire to the positive of the battery, the negative wire to the negative of the battery.
The battery cable cannot be removed with a conventional charger.
Battery caps may remain screwed on. The gas generated during battery charging can be vented through the vents in the plugs.
The charging current should initially be approximately 10% of the battery capacity (e.g. 4.4 A with a 44 Ah battery) and automatically decrease while the battery is charging.
Left: The battery is located at the front left in the engine compartment. Dismantling: disconnect the ground wire (2), lift up the positive terminal cover and unscrew the positive cable (1). The battery itself is secured with a mounting plate and a hex bolt (3).
On right: the arrows in the photo show 6 mounting bolts of the battery monoblock.
Charger connection
The battery is considered fully charged if the density of the acid in it does not increase within two hours.
During battery charging, distilled water partially decomposes. Gas bubbles are formed from hydrogen and oxygen - an explosive gas with a high explosive ability.
If charging is carried out with a high current, then take care of good ventilation of the room.
When charging the battery, do not smoke near it and do not use open flames.
The oxyhydrogen gas can also be ignited by sparks generated by connecting and disconnecting the charger or wires.
