Starting a gasoline engine (Opel Corsa C)

Before starting the engine, set the manual transmission shift lever to neutral. Depress the clutch, press the brake pedal and engage the starter.

On vehicles with Easytronic gearbox, set the selector lever to position N, and on vehicles with automatic gearbox – to position P or N. Do not press the accelerator pedal. Turn the ignition key to position III.

As the engine temperature increases, the initially high RPM will automatically decrease. Turn the ignition key back to position 0 and try starting again.
