After starting the engine, press the brake pedal before engaging the gear. When the gear is engaged and the brake is released, the car starts moving. Never press the accelerator and brake pedals simultaneously.
In D mode you can drive in almost any conditions.
When the accelerator pedal is pressed smoothly and evenly, gear shifting occurs in a timely manner, ensuring economical fuel consumption. Manual shifting is only necessary in exceptional cases. Select third, second or first gear only if shifting to higher gears is undesirable, or when braking with the engine.
As soon as the traffic situation allows, switch back to D mode.
Gearbox indicator

The mode and gear engaged are indicated on the display.
Gear shift lever (p, R and N·modes)

P – Parking mode. In this mode, the car wheels are locked. Turn it on only when the car is parked and the parking brake is applied. The gearbox indicator displays the P symbol.
R – reverse mode. Switch it on only when the car is stationary. The gear indicator shows the R symbol.
N – neutral position or idle speed. The gear indicator shows the symbol N.
The gearshift lever can only be shifted from position P when the ignition is on and the brake pedal is depressed (gear shift lever lock).
To engage P or R mode, press the button on the selector lever.
The engine can only be started in position P or N. When starting the engine in position N, additionally apply the main brake pedal or apply the parking brake.
Do not press the accelerator pedal while changing gears.
Driving modes (D, 1, 2, 3 and 4)

The permanent position for normal driving conditions is in gears 1 through 4.
The gearbox does not shift above the set gear.
To engage 3rd or 1st gear, press the button on the selector lever.
The gear indicator shows the position of the gearshift lever. In D mode, it also shows the gear currently engaged.
Electronically controlled driving modes
When the "SPORT" mode is turned on, switching occurs at higher revs (if the speed controller is not turned on). The corresponding indicator on the gearbox indicator lights up.

Auto Neutral mode automatically shifts the transmission to position N to reduce fuel consumption, for example when stopped at a traffic light.
Automatic switching to neutral position is activated in the following cases:
- the gear shift lever is in position D, 3, 2 or 1;
- the brake pedal is pressed;
- the car is standing still;
- the accelerator pedal is not pressed.
When you release the brake and press the accelerator pedal, the car starts moving as usual.
Temperature control program after a cold start automatically, thanks to delayed upshifts (increased speed) quickly brings the catalyst to the temperature required for optimum reduction of harmful exhaust emissions.
Adaptive modes automatically adjust gear shifting to suit driving conditions, such as when driving with a heavy load or on hills.
Winter driving mode
If you have difficulty starting off on a slippery road, press the mode switch, which can only be done in positions P, R, N, D, 3 (the corresponding icon will light up on the gearbox indicator).

The car will start moving in 3rd gear.
Winter operating mode is switched off under the following conditions:
- when the key is pressed again;
- manual shifting to 2nd or 1st gear;
- turning off the ignition.
To protect against damage, winter driving mode is automatically switched off when the transmission oil temperature is too high.
Forced downshift

When the accelerator pedal is pressed below the resistance point at a speed below a certain value, the transmission will downshift. Use full engine power to accelerate.
Additional engine braking
To use the engine braking functions when descending, engage stages 3, 2 or, if the situation requires, 1 in good time.
The braking effect is particularly strong in gear 1. If gear 1 is engaged at too high a speed, the gearbox will continue to operate in 2nd gear until the transition point to 1st gear is reached, for example by braking.
"Pulling"

To "pull out" a car stuck in sand, mud, snow or a ditch, with the accelerator pedal slightly depressed, alternately move the shift lever back and forth between positions D and R. Keep the engine speed as low as possible, and avoid jerking when pressing the accelerator pedal.
Use the method described above only in the exceptional cases indicated.
Precise maneuvering

For precise maneuvering, such as when parking, entering a garage, etc., you can use the "sliding" property when releasing the brake pedal.
Never press the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time.
Stop
The engaged stage can be retained when stopping with the engine running.
When stopping on an uphill slope, be sure to apply the parking brake or press the brake pedal. Do not hold the vehicle in gear by increasing the engine speed to avoid overheating the gearbox.
For longer stops, such as in a traffic jam or at a crossing, turn off the engine.
Before leaving the vehicle, first apply the parking brake, then select mode P and remove the ignition key.
If you do not remove the ignition key, the battery may discharge if the car is parked for a long time.
The key can only be removed when the gearshift lever is in position P.
Power interruption
When the battery is discharged, the gear shift lever does not shift out of position P.
If the battery is discharged, perform the jump start procedure.
If the cause is not a discharged battery, unlock the gear shift lever.
1. Apply the parking brake.
2. Release the rear gear shift lever cover from the center console and rotate it upward.

3. Using a screwdriver, press the stopper forward and move the gear shift lever out of position P.

4. Insert the gear shift lever cover into the center console and secure it.
When you switch the P mode back on, the lockout occurs again. Eliminate the cause of the power interruption.
