Warning: Before adjusting the parking brake shoe clearances, adjust the parking brake lever travel.
Loosen the parking brake cable.
Adjust the parking brake shoe clearances as follows.
Remove the rubber plug from the rear brake cover. Through the opened hole, use a small screwdriver to turn the adjusting wheel (arrow) downwards until the brake shoes make contact with the brake drum.
Continue turning the adjustment wheel tooth by tooth until the drum is completely braked.
Turn the adjusting wheel in the opposite direction by 7-8 teeth.
Turn the drum and make sure it rotates freely.
Install the rubber plug into the rear brake boot.
Adjust the parking brake cable (see the relevant chapter).
