Adjusting the parking brake cable (Opel Frontera B)

Remove the screws and remove the rear console.

Adjust the parking brake shoe clearances (see the relevant chapter).

Adjust the parking brake cable as follows.

• Release the parking brake lever (1) completely.

• Loosen the lock nut (2) and unscrew the adjusting nut (3).
• Tighten the adjusting nut until the slack in the cable is eliminated.
• Apply the parking brake lever three to four times to a force of 294 N.
• Make sure the parking brake lever travel is 6-8 clicks.
• Tighten the parking brake cable adjuster lock nut (2) to a torque of 13 Nm.

If the parking brake lever travel is not as required, repeat the adjustment.

Make sure that the rear wheels rotate freely when the parking brake lever is released.

Install the rear console and secure it with screws.
