Grinding in brake discs and pads (Opel Frontera B)

After mechanical treatment or replacement of brake discs and pads, and also in case of decrease in braking efficiency when pressing the brake pedal, perform bedding-in as follows.

Warning! The bedding of brake discs and pads must be carried out on a clear section of the road, and special care must be taken when doing so.

• On a straight, level road, drive at a speed of 50 km/h.
• Pressing the brake pedal with moderate force, brake the car from a speed of 50 km/h to a complete stop. Press the brake pedal until the car stops within 3-5 seconds.
• To cool the brake system, drive at 50 km/h for 1 minute without stopping.
• Repeat steps 1-3 more than 10 times until the brake discs and pads are completely bedded in.
