Removing
1. Place a garage lift under the lower control arm and support the suspension.
2. Disconnect the ball joint from the top side.
3. Disconnect the ball joint.
4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the ball joint from the suspension cross member. On cars up to the middle of 1995, the hinge is fastened with four bolts, on cars of a later release, with three bolts.
Installation
The ball joint is installed in the reverse order of removal.
When tightening the fastening bolts and nuts, observe the following points:
If the ball joint is fastened with four bolts, then the tightening torque is 33 Nm.
If the ball joint is fastened with three bolts, then the tightening torque is 61 Nm.

1. Connect the ball joint to the steering knuckle.
2. Tighten the locknut to 105 Nm and cotter pin.
