Remove the lower control arm as follows indicated above.
Place the lower control arm in a vice, then drill out the heads of the three rivets that secure the ball joint to the lower control arm. A 12.0mm drill bit is required for drilling.
If necessary, knock out the rivets from the lower arm, then remove the ball joint.
The new ball joint is installed using three special bolts, washers and spring mounting nuts, which are available from dealers.
The ball joint must be positioned correctly; make sure the nuts are installed from the bottom of the lower arm.
Tighten the lower arm and ball joint mounting nuts as required.
Install the lower control arm as follows indicated above.
