Removal
1. Remove the lower arm as described in Chapter 5.
2. Clamp the lower control arm in a vice, then drill out the heads of the three rivets securing the ball joint to the lower control arm using a 12.0mm drill bit.
3. If necessary, knock out the rivets from the lower arm, then remove the ball joint.
Installation
4. The new ball joint must be attached using three special bolts, spring washers and nuts, available from Opel dealers.
5. Make sure the ball joint is installed correctly, remembering that the mounting nuts must be installed on the underside of the arm.
6. Tighten the ball joint to lower arm nuts to the torque specified in the Specifications.
7. Install the lower arm as described in Chapter 5.
