2. Before removing the cable, measure the length protruding from the adjusting nut (from the clutch release lever side) threaded part of the cable tip. This will allow you to install the new cable immediately so that subsequent adjustments are minimal.
3. Remove the spring clamp from the cable (see figure 5.3), loosen the adjusting nut and disconnect the cable from the clutch release lever. After this, the cable can be disconnected from the bracket on the clutch housing (see photo).

4. While working in the passenger compartment, unhook the release spring from the clutch pedal and disconnect the cable from the pedal lever (see figure 5.4).

5. Pull the cable into the engine compartment through the bulkhead.
6. On models with headlight washers, it is necessary to move the washer reservoir to the side.
7. The cable is installed in the reverse order. Position the cable adjusting nut so that the threaded end of the cable protrudes from it the same amount as the old cable, then adjust the clutch as described in Section 2.
