2. Contact Chapter 4, Section 12, for details on how to remove the ignition switch.
Steering locking cylinder.
3. Disconnect the battery ground wire and, after removing the lower half of the steering column housing, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to "II".
4. Using a piece of wire or drill leg (diameter Zmm), press down on the spring holding the cylinder and carefully pull the cylinder out of its case. It is important that the ignition switch is not removed or disturbed while the locking cylinder is not installed.
5. Before installing a new locking cylinder, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "P". Insert the assembly into the steering lock case and, before removing the key, push it down until the retaining spring is activated.

6. Reconnect the battery ground wire and check the operation of the ignition switch before installing the lower half of the housing.
