To carry out the check, it is necessary to ensure a normal fuel level and its free passage into the float chamber; fuel supply should begin immediately after the impact on the throttle valve.
Remove carburetor.
Turn stepped washer 4 so that idle speed adjusting screw 3 is not visible. Fix the washer in this position.
Substitute a funnel with a measuring container under the carburetor.
Attention! On vehicles with automatic transmission, turn the throttle damper upwards before measuring the fuel level.
Fully depress the accelerator pedal (approx. 1 stroke/sec). Between two moves, pause for 3 seconds.
Divide the measured amount of fuel in the tank by 10 and compare with the value given in the specification. If the measured value deviates, check the accelerator pump. If necessary, replace defective elements.
Adjust the amount of fuel supplied. To do this, loosen screw 1 and turn cam 2 (see fig.C0225).
"+" - increase in the amount of fuel supplied
"-" - reduction in the amount of fuel supplied
Lock the screw after adjusting with a drop of paint.
Install carburetor.
Adjust idle speed and CO content in exhaust gases.
