Carburetors 2EE and 2EZ
The fuel pump is a diaphragm unit with a mechanical drive from the camshaft. The pump is located on the right side of the camshaft housing.
Warning! Gasoline vapors are toxic! Ensure good ventilation of the workplace.
Warning! Do not allow open flames or sparks near the work area. There is a risk of fire!
Removal
Disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

Disconnect the fuel hoses.
Remove the pump from the camshaft housing.
Caution! Place a rag underneath as fuel may leak.
Clean the mating surfaces.
Installation
Install and secure the pump using a new gasket.
Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm.
Connect the fuel hoses and secure them with new clamps. The hose from the fuel tank is secured to the pump cover, and the hose from the carburetor is secured to the bottom of the pump.
Connect the ground wire to the battery.
To check the pump operation, disconnect the hose from it that goes to the carburetor. Put a rag under it and turn on the starter. The fuel should flow out in a jerky manner.
The fuel pressure at the pump outlet at 2000 rpm should be 0.25-0.33 bar.
