Hatchback



1. The general layout is similar to that described for the windshield washer, except that the reservoir and pump are located inside the rear cargo area panel.

2. If the washer nozzle needs to be adjusted, use a pin to do this and make sure that the jet hits the glass at the point shown in the figure (see Figure 12.37).

3. The rear window washer reservoir and pump are located behind the rear trim panel (see photo 39.3).

4. To remove the reservoir or pump, first remove the rear door interior trim panel (Chapter 11, Section 25).

5. Disconnect the electrical wiring and water supply pipes from the pump. Then remove the reservoir and pump from the mounting bracket.

6. The pump is inserted and clamped into the base of the tank. Before removing the pump, drain all fluid from the reservoir.

7. Access to the washer pipe can be gained after removing the corresponding internal decorative panels.

8. The washer nozzle is secured between the roof and the air deflector structure using two screws.

9. Installation of all washer components is carried out by performing the above steps in reverse order. Before installing interior decorative panels, check that the system is functioning properly.
