Rear Window Wiper Motor — Removal and Installation (Opel Ascona C)

            0

1. Remove the rear window wiper arm by loosening the mounting nut and removing it. From underneath the lever, remove the rubber mount, second nut, dust cap and gasket.

2. Remove the rear door interior trim panel as described in Chapter 11, Section 25.

3. Disconnect the wiring from the windshield wiper motor

4. Unscrew the two mounting bolts and remove the windshield wiper motor completely (see photo 37.4).

5. Reinstall by following the above steps in reverse order. Position the windshield wiper arm so that the wiper blade is parallel to the bottom of the glass in the "off" position (for Estate models), or would be positioned vertically, as shown in Figure 12.34 (for Hatchback models).
