Windshield/Rear Door Washer System Components — Removal and Installation (Opel Astra F)

Liquid tank



Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Disconnect the plug contacts of the liquid pumps in the engine compartment.

Disconnect the fluid supply hoses from the pumps. Fluid leakage may occur, take appropriate measures.

Remove the screw at the right end of the tank and remove it from the engine compartment.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Liquid feed pump



Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Disconnect the plug connector from the pump in the engine compartment.

Disconnect the fluid supply hoses from the pump. Be prepared for possible fluid leakage.

Remove the pump from the tank. Be careful, liquid may leak.

Check the condition of the mesh filter located at the end of the pump suction tube and clean or replace it if necessary.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Check whether the pump is securely fastened in the tank.

Windshield washer nozzle



Carefully remove the nozzle from the hood, being careful not to damage the painted surfaces.

Disconnect the fluid supply hose and remove the nozzle.

When installing, connect the hose to the nozzle and place the nozzle into the socket.

The nozzle can be adjusted using a needle inserted into the jet, turning it to the sides.

Rear door glass washer nozzle



The washer nozzle can be removed after removing the spoiler on the rear door. Do not drop the end of the hose inside the door.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, however, it is necessary to install the flap (see chapter 11). Keep in mind that the nozzle can be adjusted by inserting the needle into the jet and turning it sideways.
