Wheel arch liners

The plastic wheel arch liners are secured with a combination of self-tapping screws, plastic nuts and clamps. Removal and installation are carried out taking into account the following.

Some of the clamps may have a pin that is knocked out when the clamp is removed.

The clamps are easily damaged when removed, so it is recommended to have several spare ones.

Engine mudguard (on models with twin camshaft engines)

Apply the handbrake, then jack up the front end and secure it to the stands under the axle.

Remove the two screws and remove the panel to access the oil filter.

Remove the mudguard self-tapping bolts at the bottom of the body (fig. 11.36.).

Remove the mudguard self-tapping bolts at the bottom of the body (fig. 11.36.).

With the help of an assistant, remove the mudguard from the vehicle.

The mudguard is installed in the reverse order of removal.

Rear Spoiler - Sedan Models

Open the trunk lid, unscrew the screws and remove the lock assembly cover.

Remove the three bolts and eight nuts securing the spoiler (flap) to the roof of the trunk, then remove it.

On some models the flap may be secured with adhesive tape, in which case care must be taken not to damage the painted surfaces when removing it. One possible solution is to heat the tape with a hair dryer.

Remove the flap from the trunk lid.

Using white spirit, remove all traces of glue, then wash the surface with soapy water to remove the white spirit.

Install the spoiler, checking the correct installation and secure with nuts and bolts.

Install the lock assembly cover.

Side pads

Apply adhesive tape along the edge of the trim before removing it to ensure proper positioning of the trim during subsequent installation.

Use a hair dryer to heat the extension to soften the adhesive for removal.

Before installing the overlay, remove all traces of glue with white spirit. Then remove all traces of white spirit with soapy water. All work surfaces must be absolutely clean.

Heat the new pad to approximately 80°C with a hair dryer, then remove the protective film. Press the pad into place, aligning it with the previously applied adhesive tape. Remove the adhesive tape after the pad has been secured.

Various stickers are attached with adhesives. To remove them, either soften the adhesive with a hair dryer, trying not to damage the painted surface, or separate the overlay with a nylon thread, as if "filing" them off.
