Hood Latch Drive Cable — Removal and Installation (Opel Astra F)

Open the hood and secure it in the open position.

Unscrew the hood latch cable clamp from the front body panel.

Disconnect the end of the cable from the latch spring under the front panel.

Disconnect the cable from the lock actuator lever located in the driver's footwell. If necessary, remove the lever from its holder.

Route the cable assembly through the rubber grommet on the bulkhead in the engine compartment.

Release the cable from all clamps and remove it from the engine compartment.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, but make sure that the cable is correctly installed and check the mechanism in operation.
